Although she is renowned for her candid comments and seemingly confident nature about her weight, Kate Winslet has said she often compares herself unfavourably with other actresses.
The 33-year-old, who is nominated for an Oscar for her role in the Reader, said she did not feel attractive as a young girl and still feels the pressure to stay slim now.
"I was fat and unhappy at times and that kind of thinking stays with you your entire life. There's always going to be a part of me that worries about not looking as slim as other actresses," she commented.
However, Winslet added that she has gained more confidence as she has got older and now acknowledges that she "doesn't look bad" for a mother-of-two.
The actress appears with old friend Leonardo DiCaprio in her new movie for Revolutionary Road, which required her to strip off for a love scene as she did in 1998's Titanic.
