British actress Kate Winslet has spoken out against the fad diets favoured by many celebrities and has said she is proud of her imperfections.
The famously curvy star of Titanic told the Daily Mail that she can't remember the last time she followed a restrictive regime.
"I just don't believe in perfection. But I do believe in saying, 'This is who I am and look at me not being perfect.' I'm proud of that," she commented.
Winslet has long been an advocate of promoting real body shapes - in 2003, GQ magazine was forced to apologise after printing obviously airbrushed photographs of the actress which she had not consented to.
Indeed, diets which significantly restrict calories can seriously damage health, obesity expert Professor John Garrow said last week.
