A new survey has revealed that 58 per cent of British people would like their partner to lose weight.
Meanwhile, 64 per cent of respondents said they thought their other half could improve their physique and four out of five said their partner did not exercise often enough, according to the poll, carried out by sports drink manufacturer MyProtein.co.uk.
Some 31 per cent of people said this was because they were worried about their loved one's health, but 56 per cent said it was due to reasons of physical attraction.
Oliver Cookson, managing director of MyProtein.co.uk, said: "Looking after yourself is obviously important for reasons of health, but it could also be extremely important to ensure mutual happiness within your relationship."
