Big breakfasts aid weight loss

Dr Daniela Jakubowicz from the Hospital de Clinicas in Caracas, Venezuela, led a study into diet and found that a big breakfast can help with weight loss because it reduces cravings for snack foods.

She said: "Most weight loss studies have determined that a very low-carbohydrate diet is not a good method to reduce weight," reports the Windsor Star, citing Reuters.

The study found that dieters who ate a large breakfast continued to lose weight when people following other diets started to put any lost weight back on.

Meanwhile, CityNews has recently reported that certain foods should not be eaten at the start of the day, as they may give too many calories at once.
