The poor diet that many catwalk models follow could be a threat to their health.
This is according to Carole White, founder of Premier Model Management, who told the Metro that since most are young girls, they often do not give much thought to nutrition and as such, may not get all the vitamins they need.
"Our biggest problem with models and diet is they usually eat too many chips and Big Macs," she commented.
Ms White added that the agency is working towards nutrition plans for the girls on its books.
In December, Ellen Mason, a cardiac nurse for the British Heart Foundation, said that people should not see being slim as an excuse not to exercise, since slim but inactive people could be more at risk of developing high cholesterol, cardiovascular disease and diabetes than those who are active.
Anyone who is not a model but feels they eat too much saturated fat is advised to cut their calorific intake, potentially supporting their new regime with weight loss supplements.
