People who are struggling to succeed with their diet may be interested to hear that taking photos of food could aid efforts to lose weight on top of using Day & Night.
A study conducted by researchers at the University of Wisconsin-Madison found that people who made picture diaries of their foods were more successful at losing weight.
Indeed, having a pictorial record of what they had eaten worked to remind people about what they should and should not be consuming.
"I had to think more carefully about what I was going to eat because I had to take a picture of it," was a typical response to the study.
However, written diaries were not so effective, the study found, as they were generally completed some time after a meal and did not act as a powerful reminder of what had been eaten.
Indeed a dietician at WeightWatchers, Zoe Hellman, recently told the Telegraph that such a scheme could really help people trying to shed some pounds.
She noted that without tracking what is eaten, people tend to believe they have consumed around 30-40 per cent less than what was actually eaten.
