More men on diets than women, research finds

A new survey has discovered that more men than women are on a diet.

The research, carried out by sports nutrition site Myprotein.co.uk, looked at 1,618 Britons and found that 76 per cent of women reported having been on a diet in the last six months.

Surprisingly though, 81 per cent of men answered the same, with men in London most likely to be trying to lose weight.

Managing director of Myprotein.co.uk Oliver Cookson commented: "Obesity is an issue that affects millions of people in the UK; one that the media place particular emphasis on, which seems to be encouraging the British public to do something about it."

Meanwhile, a recent poll by Men's Fitness magazine found that one man in three is so embarrassed by his body that he would not get undressed in front of his partner.

The prospect of going on a calorie-prohibitive diet may be off-putting for those who have struggled with diets in the past. These people could consider using a weight-loss supplement such as Night & Day, which has been used by approximately six million people throughout Europe.
